In October 2010, the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) adopted a new
strategic vision designed to help engage physicians and assist them in developing the knowledge and skills needed to be effective leaders in the ever-changing health care enviornment.
"We recognized early on that medicine was changing," said PAMED President Ralph Schmeltz, MD. "We felt we needed to reevaluate ourselves and provide our members with the skill sets that will allow them to succeed in the upcoming environment."
