adminThe Pennsylvania Medical Society helped negotiate the Mcare settlement last fall. This agreement requires that $200 million be returned to Pennsylvania physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers, including $139 million in refunds for prior assessment overpayments for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014.
The process for physicians and medical practices to obtain their refund began in April.
