Share Evidence-Based Practice at Pennsylvania Health Equity Conference

On Aug. 21 and 22, 2014, the PA Health Equity Conference is being held at the Radisson Convention Center in Camp Hill, with the goal of increasing knowledge and sharing evidence-based practices to reduce health disparities.

Throughout the two-day conference, multiple sessions will address issue such as cultural competence, health literacy, LGBTQ health, rural and urban health, language access, refugee health, emergency preparedness, and mental health. There also will be networking opportunities and continuing education credits available.

The registration fee is $75, $50 for students. The deadline to register is Aug. 11.

The conference’s research committee also invites medical/public health professionals, students, and community-based organizations to submit abstracts to present posters at the conference that focus on health programs or research.
