PA PROMISe Provider Enrollment Portal Nears Readiness; DHS Offering Online Training on the System

Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services (DHS) is preparing to launch its electronic PROMISe provider enrollment portal. The new portal will enable providers to complete their PA Medical Assistance enrollment application online.

DHS is offering free online training sessions in advance of the portal’s launch. New providers wishing to enroll as well as existing enrolled providers wishing to revalidate in the PA Medical Assistance program are invited to register for a training session. Registration is available for the following dates and times:

  • Monday, Jan. 25 – 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Monday, Jan. 25 – 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 26 – 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 26 – 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 27 – 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 27 – 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Registration for the training sessions will close 30 minutes prior to the start of each class.

Important note: Although DHS has announced that the portal will be available effective Jan. 29, 2016, providers who need to revalidate for Medicaid by March 24, 2016, should not wait for the portal to submit revalidation applications. Pennsylvania physicians who enrolled in Medicaid on or before March 25, 2011 must revalidation by March 24.
